We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Downey, California. This Contract position offers an opportunity to work on payroll systems implementation and optimization while collaborating with various departments and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have expertise in payroll processes and systems, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all aspects of payroll management. Responsibilities: • Lead the configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of payroll processes within newly implemented systems. • Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, IT, and finance to identify and define payroll system requirements. • Oversee the migration, validation, and reconciliation of payroll data to ensure precision and reliability. • Develop comprehensive training materials and conduct sessions for payroll staff and system users. • Act as the primary liaison between the organization and software vendors to address and resolve system issues. • Ensure adherence to payroll regulations, policies, and reporting standards. • Provide ongoing support post-implementation, including troubleshooting and system improvements. • Analyze payroll workflows and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll software features and functionalities to optimize usage.

• Proven experience with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or Dayforce. • Strong understanding of accounting functions and payroll processes. • Familiarity with auditing and benefit administration, including 401k and RRSP. • Ability to develop and deliver training materials effectively. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Knowledge of payroll compliance regulations and reporting requirements. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and external vendors. • Experience with data migration and reconciliation processes.
