We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will focus on managing business-to-business collections, ensuring accurate account reconciliations, and applying payments efficiently. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your analytical skills and expertise in credit and collections processes. Responsibilities: • Manage business-to-business collections by contacting clients regarding overdue accounts and negotiating payment arrangements. • Analyze and reconcile past-due accounts to ensure accuracy and resolution of discrepancies. • Process cash applications and allocate payments to appropriate accounts. • Maintain detailed records of client communications and account statuses. • Collaborate with internal teams to address billing issues and improve collection processes. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to track collections, prepare reports, and analyze financial data. • Provide exceptional customer service to address client inquiries and concerns. • Support continuous improvement efforts in credit and collections workflows. • Identify and escalate unresolved accounts to management for further action. • Monitor and report on collection metrics to ensure targets are met.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business-to-business collections. • Proficiency in account reconciliation and cash application processes. • Strong knowledge of collection procedures and billing systems. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. • Customer service skills to effectively address client needs and concerns. • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients. • Experience with Accumatica is a plus, but not required.
