Receptionist
We are looking for a skilled Receptionist to join our team in Signal Hill, California. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for visitors and ensuring smooth communication within the organization. This is a contract position in a non-profit setting, offering an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while utilizing your administrative and customer service skills.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Greet visitors warmly and direct them to the appropriate personnel or departments.<br>• Manage a multi-line phone system, ensuring all calls are answered promptly and professionally.<br>• Handle inbound calls, providing accurate information or transferring calls as needed.<br>• Perform general receptionist duties, including maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.<br>• Ensure smooth operation of the switchboard for phones ranging from 1 to 10 lines.<br>• Assist with part-time administrative tasks as required to support the team.<br>• Coordinate and schedule appointments or meetings as requested.<br>• Maintain an updated log of visitor information and phone call records.<br>• Collaborate with other staff members to address administrative needs.<br>• Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role.<br>• Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and switchboards.<br>• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.<br>• Ability to manage inbound calls efficiently and professionally.<br>• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.<br>• Familiarity with basic office equipment and software.<br>• Part-time availability and flexibility to adapt to scheduling needs.<br>• Experience in a non-profit environment is a plus.
