We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to handle diverse accounting responsibilities while working in a collaborative environment. The role requires expertise in accounting systems, compliance management, and financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions. • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger. • Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies. • Utilize QuickBooks Online to oversee financial records and optimize accounting workflows. • Support compliance initiatives by addressing state registration and filing requirements. • Collaborate on sales and use tax projects to ensure proper reporting and adherence to regulations. • Assist with the integration and operation of various accounting systems, including Sage Intacct. • Contribute to the separation of business divisions, ensuring accurate financial tracking across multiple entities. • Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support decision-making processes. • Maintain detailed documentation and records to meet regulatory and internal audit standards.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with Sage Intacct. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. • Experience with journal entries and bank reconciliations. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Ability to navigate multiple accounting systems and adapt quickly to new tools. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Understanding of sales and use tax compliance is a plus. • Prior experience in managing compliance across multiple states is preferred.
