We are looking for a skilled Staff/ Sr Accountant to contribute to the financial operations of a dynamic, faith-based organization in Palmetto, Florida. This Contract position offers the opportunity to support crucial accounting processes, including month-end close and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in general accounting and consolidations, along with proficiency in tools such as QuickBooks and Coupa. Responsibilities:• Manage journal entries and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.• Oversee month-end closing activities and prepare detailed financial reports.• Collaborate on corporate tax planning and preparation, including handling sales tax and corporate tax returns.• Assist in streamlining payroll processes and improving financial systems.• Utilize QuickBooks and Coupa to maintain efficient accounting operations.• Contribute to purchasing processes and provide insights on financial impact.• Support system implementations and ensure seamless integration with existing tools.• Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend effective solutions.• Provide support for audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations.

• Proven experience in general accounting, including journal entries and ledger management. • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Coupa for accounting functions. • Knowledge of corporate and sales tax processes. • Familiarity with corporate tax return preparation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Prior experience with system implementations or Microsoft Business Central is preferred. • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.
