Payroll Administrator
<p>We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Administrator to oversee payroll operations for a growing team in Ontario, California. This role involves managing payroll processes for union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with wage laws and regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems and a keen understanding of certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage calculations. Please call Brigitte Mendez @ 909-717-4037 if interested or call your Robert Half Recruiter.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Process weekly and biweekly payroll for a team of approximately 100 employees, including union members, using payroll software.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) when handling union payroll procedures.</p><p>• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act.</p><p>• Calculate and oversee prevailing wage rates for applicable construction contracts to ensure accurate payment.</p><p>• Manage quarterly tax payments and reporting to ensure timely submissions.</p><p>• Collect, review, and validate employee timecards for accuracy before processing payroll.</p><p>• Assist with workers’ compensation reporting in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.</p><p>• Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve employee concerns in a thorough and timely manner.</p><p>• Stay current with regulatory requirements surrounding union payroll, prevailing wages, and tax compliance.</p>
• Proven experience managing union payroll processes.<br>• Strong knowledge of certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage calculations.<br>• Familiarity with payroll systems and software, such as ADP Workforce Now or Ceridian.<br>• Experience working in the construction industry is highly preferred.<br>• Proficiency in tax regulations and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).<br>• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.<br>• Strong communication skills to address employee concerns effectively.<br>• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently.
