We are looking for an experienced HR Director to lead and manage the human resources functions for our organization in Yonkers, New York. This role requires a strategic individual with strong attention to detail who can oversee employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. You will play a key role in fostering a positive and productive workplace environment while ensuring organizational policies align with applicable standards. Responsibilities: • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee-related matters, providing guidance and solutions to address workplace challenges. • Oversee the implementation and management of affirmative action policies to promote diversity and inclusion. • Provide expert advice to city departments and agencies regarding personnel laws, labor contracts, and regulatory compliance. • Manage and communicate employee benefit programs, including health insurance, life insurance, workers' compensation, safety initiatives, and employee assistance programs. • Represent the organization in unemployment insurance claims and other cases involving challenges to personnel policies. • Lead the recruitment and interview process to attract and select top talent for various roles. • Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health standards across the organization. • Build and maintain relationships with public and private agencies to support HR initiatives. • Develop strategies for effective communication and administration of compensation and benefits. • Monitor and address compliance issues related to HR policies and procedures.

• Proven experience in employee relations and handling complex workplace issues. • Expertise in managing and communicating employee benefit programs. • Strong knowledge of human resources administration and labor laws. • Demonstrated ability to manage compensation and benefits functions effectively. • Familiarity with HR compliance standards and affirmative action policies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders. • Leadership experience in recruitment, interviewing, and talent acquisition. • Ability to represent the organization in legal and regulatory matters related to HR.
