We are looking for an experienced Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. In this contract position, you will play a key role in managing and administering employee benefit programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing processes to support organizational goals. This is an opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to enhance the overall employee experience. Responsibilities: • Administer benefit programs, including health, life, disability insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Analyze program performance and recommend improvements based on cost-effectiveness and industry standards. • Coordinate benefits-related processes such as enrollments, billing reconciliations, and renewal evaluations. • Develop and implement communication strategies to inform employees about available benefits. • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, IT, and Legal teams to ensure seamless benefits operations. • Manage compliance tasks such as audits, regulatory filings, and reporting requirements. • Oversee leave of absence programs, including FMLA and Workers' Compensation, while coordinating accommodations and return-to-work plans. • Administer tuition reimbursement programs and address escalated claims, ensuring resolution with brokers and vendors. • Maintain data integrity between internal systems and external vendors to ensure accurate reporting. • Assist with budget preparation and monitor expenses related to employee benefits.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail. • At least 4 years of experience in benefits administration or a related field. • Strong understanding of HR, payroll, and multi-state employment laws. • Proficiency in benefits systems and data governance, preferably with Workday. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail. • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively across teams. • Proven organizational skills to manage both strategic and operational responsibilities. • Familiarity with FMLA and other leave programs is highly desirable.
