<p>Our client, a <strong>global manufacturing organization</strong>, is seeking an experienced <strong>Senior Cost Accountant</strong> to support cost accounting and operational finance across its manufacturing footprint. This Senior Cost Accountant role is ideal for a hands-on cost accounting professional who thrives in a complex, multi-site environment and enjoys partnering with operations to drive insight, accuracy, and continuous improvement.</p><p><br></p><p>Senior Cost Accountant Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Maintain and analyze standard costs, including material, labor, and overhead rates across manufacturing operations</li><li>Perform cost variance analysis (PPV, usage, labor, overhead) and partner with operations to explain and address variances</li><li>Support month-end close activities related to inventory, WIP, and cost of goods sold</li><li>Ensure accurate inventory valuation and compliance with GAAP across multiple locations</li><li>Partner with plant leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance metrics</li><li>Support annual standard cost roll and ongoing cost updates</li><li>Analyze inventory reserves, obsolescence, and excess inventory</li><li>Assist with internal and external audits, including inventory observations</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance costing accuracy and efficiency</li><li>Support ERP and systems enhancements related to cost accounting</li></ul><p>Preferred Experience</p><ul><li>Exposure to international manufacturing operations or global supply chains</li><li>Experience with system implementations or continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification</li></ul><p>Why This Opportunity</p><ul><li>Opportunity to work within a <strong>global manufacturing organization</strong> with operational complexity</li><li>High visibility role partnering directly with plant and operations leadership</li><li>Exposure to international teams and scalable financial processes</li></ul><p>For immediate consideration call Jimmy Tunney at 517-657-8054</p>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li>Progressive cost accounting experience in a <strong>manufacturing environment</strong>, preferably with global or multi-site operations</li><li>Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing variances</li><li>Advanced Excel skills; ability to analyze large data sets</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally with operations</li></ul>
