<p>Starting Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 + annual bonus</p><p>Location: Holt, MI - Hybrid</p><p><br></p><p>Robert Half is partnering with one of their clients on their recruitment efforts for a Senior Cost Accountant. This is an award-winning, well-respected construction firm that has been in business for over 20 years. This is a unique opportunity to support high-profile projects, contribute to ongoing success, and -partner with senior leadership. If you enjoy cost accounting, and mixing your day up with other accounting responsibilities this role is for you!  </p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Oversee and maintain accurate job costing practices for all ongoing construction projects.</li><li>Prepare, analyze, and report on work-in-process (WIP) accounts.</li><li>Assess project budgets, investigate variances, and support project teams with timely cost data.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers to track and improve project profitability.</li><li>Perform regular reconciliations, audits, and process reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards.</li><li>Assist with month-end closing activities related to project accounting.</li><li>Assist in cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning</li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant tax regulations</li><li>Coordinate and support audits, both internal and external</li></ul>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.</li><li>5+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.</li><li>Strong understanding of job costing, work in process (WIP), and construction accounting principles.</li><li>Superior analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency in construction accounting and ERP software is an advantage.</li></ul><p><br></p>
