Accountant
We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about finance and eager to develop their expertise in accounting processes. You will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and timeliness.<br>• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.<br>• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations to support monthly and quarterly reporting.<br>• Assist in month-end close procedures, including journal entries and general ledger updates.<br>• Manage and ensure compliance with Form 1099 reporting requirements.<br>• Record accounting entries and verify their accuracy against supporting documents.<br>• Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.<br>• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and workflows.<br>• Utilize leadership skills to contribute to team success and resolve any financial discrepancies.<br>• Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable financial regulations.
<p>• 3+ years accounting experience or degree in accounting</p><p>• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.</p><p>• Experience with bank and account reconciliations is preferred.</p><p>• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and handling month-end close procedures.</p><p>• Familiarity with Form 1099 reporting requirements.</p><p>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</p><p>• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.</p><p>• Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information.</p>
