Communication Specialist
<p>We are looking for a talented Communication Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This position involves creating compelling content, managing social media strategies, and supporting digital communication efforts for a non-profit organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong writing skills, creativity, and experience with digital tools to enhance communication initiatives.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Develop and publish engaging content for various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.</p><p>• Maintain and update the WordPress website with accurate and timely information.</p><p>• Write and share blog articles that resonate with target audiences.</p><p>• Plan and schedule social media campaigns using Hootsuite to maximize reach.</p><p>• Design visual content using Canva to complement written materials.</p><p>• Assist the Communications Director in executing broader communication strategies.</p><p>• Use tools like WordPress, Canva, and Hootsuite to streamline content creation and distribution.</p><p>• Monitor and analyze social media performance to identify areas for improvement.</p>
• Proven experience in communications, marketing, or digital content creation, with a portfolio of successful projects.<br>• Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities that engage diverse audiences.<br>• Strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for organic content.<br>• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively.<br>• Familiarity with tools such as WordPress, Canva, and Hootsuite.<br>• Experience in designing newsletters, including layout and content creation, is a plus.<br>• Previous experience working with non-profit or regional organizations is preferred.<br>• Basic graphic design skills are desirable but not mandatory.
