Purchase & Sales Specialist
We are looking for a skilled and strategic Purchase & Sales Specialist to join our team in Fort Mill, South Carolina. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing procurement operations, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of supply chain processes, vendor management, and the landscaping industry.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with company objectives and project deadlines.<br>• Oversee the procurement process for landscaping materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring timely and cost-efficient acquisition.<br>• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure quality materials at competitive prices.<br>• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to optimize costs and ensure reliability.<br>• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.<br>• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, inventory levels, and budget reports to support efficient operations.<br>• Forecast material needs based on project plans, seasonal demand, and inventory trends.<br>• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure material availability and address procurement challenges.<br>• Stay informed about market trends, product availability, and potential supply chain risks to mitigate disruptions.<br>• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.<br>• At least 4 years of experience in purchasing within the landscaping, construction, or agricultural industries.<br>• Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimization, and negotiation.<br>• Proficiency in procurement software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.<br>• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.<br>• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.<br>• In-depth knowledge of vendor and inventory management systems.<br>• Familiarity with landscaping materials, tools, and equipment is highly preferred.
