We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of invoice processing and payments. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the museum and art gallery industry.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner to ensure proper payment schedules.<br>• Perform coding of invoices according to established procedures and guidelines.<br>• Handle check runs, including preparation and distribution, while maintaining compliance with company policies.<br>• Ensure all accounts payable transactions are properly documented and recorded.<br>• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.<br>• Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and related documents.<br>• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement within the accounts payable function.<br>• Support additional financial projects as required by management.

• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.<br>• Proficiency in coding invoices and handling check runs.<br>• Strong knowledge of invoice processing procedures.<br>• Familiarity with accounting systems and software.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Effective communication skills for interacting with internal teams and vendors.
