We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Towson, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:• Process accounts receivable transactions to ensure accuracy and timely completion.• Reconcile monthly bank statements and general ledger accounts to maintain accurate records.• Handle weekly deposits and record client payments in the accounts receivable system.• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.• Assist in creating financial statements and reports.• Upload vendor documents into the accounting system and verify approvals and coding for all invoices.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial operations and streamline processes.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role. • Proficiency in managing accounts receivable and billing functions. • Strong skills in account reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records. • Familiarity with accounting principles and compliance requirements. • Ability to prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts. • Effective communication skills to address inquiries and collaborate with teams. • High level of attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Knowledge of relevant accounting software and tools.
