We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting financial accuracy by reconciling records, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with year-end close activities. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Reconcile sales records for the current year to ensure accuracy and completeness.<br>• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries to address discrepancies identified during reconciliations.<br>• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.<br>• Generate ad hoc financial reports as needed to support decision-making.<br>• Assist in year-end closing processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards.<br>• Utilize Microsoft Excel and proprietary accounting systems to manage financial data effectively.

• Strong experience with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.<br>• Proficiency in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.<br>• Ability to create and post adjusting journal entries with precision.<br>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.<br>• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.<br>• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.<br>• Prior experience in year-end close processes is preferred.
