We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will support essential accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and data entry. Non-profit accounting experience and proficiency with Blackbaud software are crucial for success in this position. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Handle accounts receivable tasks, including billing and payment tracking. • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Perform account reconciliations to verify financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Utilize Blackbaud software to manage accounting processes efficiently. • Maintain vendor records and oversee vendor management tasks. • Conduct check runs and ensure proper payment handling. • Assist with data entry and other general accounting functions as needed. • Support non-profit accounting practices, adhering to relevant regulations.

• Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Proficiency in Blackbaud software and its accounting functionalities. • Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices and standards. • Ability to prepare and post journal entries with attention to detail. • Strong skills in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies. • Experience managing vendor records and performing vendor-related tasks. • Knowledge of check run processes and payment handling. • Excellent organizational and data entry skills.
