We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within a dynamic company specializing in hotel renovation projects. The ideal candidate will manage both accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations. Responsibilities: • Process accounts receivable transactions, handling approximately 10 per week. • Manage accounts payable duties, processing up to 100 invoices weekly during peak times. • Generate and distribute invoices for various projects. • Communicate with clients to address past-due invoices and oversee collections. • Enter payable invoices into QuickBooks with precision and timeliness. • Conduct manual check runs and distribute payments via mail. • Collaborate with project managers to input sales orders accurately. • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accounts are balanced. • Handle sales tax collection and payments in compliance with regulations. • Support general accounting functions, including coding invoices and maintaining records.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and a solid understanding of accounting software. • Strong knowledge of invoicing, billing functions, and account reconciliation. • Ability to manage manual check runs and ensure timely payments. • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members. • Detail-oriented approach to coding invoices and maintaining financial accuracy. • Familiarity with sales tax regulations and compliance. • Previous experience in a project-based accounting environment is a plus.
