We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in St. Petersburg, Florida. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work on critical accounting projects and collaborate with external auditors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial reporting, audit preparation, and using advanced accounting systems such as SAP. Responsibilities:• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.• Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to resolve discrepancies.• Assist with audit schedules and provide necessary documentation for external auditors.• Collaborate with external auditors to address sampling and testing requests.• Pull and analyze financial data to identify and resolve issues during audit preparation.• Utilize SAP systems to manage financial data and reporting tasks.• Support the accounting team with inquiries from external parties.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices throughout all processes.• Work closely with the finance and accounting managers to achieve project goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including external audit support. • Proficiency in SAP, particularly S4 Hana, is required. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation. • Experience with annual external audits and audit schedule preparation. • Ability to handle complex financial data and resolve discrepancies. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Familiarity with month-end close processes and journal entries.
