Administrative Assistant
<p>A respected nonprofit organization is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant to provide front desk coverage and administrative support at its San Francisco office. This is a 2–3 month assignment offering the opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven environment while ensuring smooth daily operations during a transitional period.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers in a busy nonprofit office</li><li>Greet and direct guests and staff, managing access to the office and maintaining a welcoming front desk area</li><li>Answer and route incoming phone calls and general inquiries</li><li>Maintain office supplies and snack inventory to support a positive, well-organized environment</li><li>Provide general administrative support to staff and management as needed</li></ul>
<p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>1+ year of experience in an administrative, receptionist, or front office support role</li><li>Strong customer service orientation with clear, professional communication skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle occasional high-pressure interactions calmly</li><li>Reliable, organized, and proactive; able to work independently and ramp up quickly</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Teams</li><li>Prior nonprofit experience a plus, but not required</li><li>Ability to report onsite 5 days a week in San Francisco</li><li>Must be available to work all open business days the week before and the week of Thanksgiving (excluding Thanksgiving Day and the day after).</li></ul><p>This short-term opportunity is ideal for early-career professionals with strong administrative or front office experience who are looking to gain experience in a collaborative, mission-driven setting.</p>
