We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in San Diego, California. In this role, you will focus on managing accounts receivable, ensuring that outstanding balances are collected promptly, and fostering positive relationships with clients. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of the organization while working closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and proactively follow up on overdue balances to ensure timely collections. • Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales teams to address billing disputes and facilitate resolutions. • Maintain accurate and organized records of collection activities using the company’s accounting systems. • Escalate delinquent accounts as needed, including coordinating with external collection agencies. • Prepare and present regular reports to management on collection progress, trends, and potential risks. • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency of billing and collection operations. • Utilize tools such as Zuora and Salesforce to track and manage B2B collections effectively. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout all collection activities. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to promote goodwill while addressing outstanding payments.

• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in SaaS, healthcare, or technology industries. • Proficiency in collection processes, including commercial and consumer collections. • Familiarity with billing systems and tools such as Zuora and Salesforce. • Strong communication and negotiation skills to handle customer interactions professionally. • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate records. • Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform management decisions. • Experience in handling B2B collections is highly preferred.
