<p>We are looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join our team in Rockford, Illinois. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone with strong accounting expertise, proficiency in QuickBooks, and experience in income tax preparation. If you are detail-oriented, possess excellent analytical skills, and are eager to contribute to a dynamic CPA firm, we encourage you to apply.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Maintain and update financial records with accuracy and attention to detail.</p><p>• Analyze financial transactions and create comprehensive reports.</p><p>• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial data and client information.</p><p>• Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns.</p><p>• Manage journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.</p><p>• Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.</p><p>• Utilize QuickBooks software to manage accounting tasks efficiently.</p><p>• Stay informed on current accounting principles and tax regulations.</p><p>• Assist with sales tax preparation and compliance.</p><p>• Support general ledger maintenance and ensure proper documentation.</p><p><br></p><p>The salary range for this position is $30.00/HR to $37.00/HR. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental and life and disability insurance. Hired contract/temporary professionals are also eligible to enroll in company 401(k) plan.</p>

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Staff Accountant with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.<br>• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial practices.<br>• Proven expertise in preparing corporate and individual tax returns.<br>• Proficiency in QuickBooks software and general ledger management.<br>• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.<br>• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.<br>• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting.<br>• Familiarity with sales tax requirements and corporate tax processes.
