We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Monterey, California. This is a contract 2-3 of months, this opportunity is where you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate and timely financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring seamless processing of accounts payable tasks. Responsibilities:• Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and authorization for payments.• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking financial transactions.• Manage the accounts payable ledger and ensure all entries are correctly recorded.• Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues effectively.• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable.• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to queries.• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the accounts payable workflow.• Stay updated on industry standards and practices to ensure compliance in financial operations.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Proficiency in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and account reconciliation. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets. • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with a focus on accuracy. • Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with accounting software and systems is preferred. • Knowledge of manufacturing industry accounting processes is a plus.
