We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Montebello, California. This role is integral to maintaining financial accuracy and compliance within our nonprofit organization. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while advancing your career in lease accounting and financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee the lease accounting portfolio, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards. • Record lease-related assets and liabilities, and prepare accurate journal entries to reflect updates. • Maintain and update lease schedules, including modifications, renewals, and terminations. • Collaborate with internal departments to gather complete and precise lease information. • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in adherence to nonprofit accounting regulations. • Support the preparation of audit schedules and assist auditors with lease-related disclosures. • Conduct analytical reviews of lease impacts on financial statements and budgets. • Perform monthly account reconciliations, including lease accounts and general ledger entries. • Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations and lease accounting standards. • Work closely with operational teams to incorporate lease data into financial planning and decision-making.

• Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations. • Strong understanding of bank reconciliation procedures. • Familiarity with nonprofit accounting standards and lease accounting principles. • Experience using Abila MIP or similar financial software. • Ability to interpret and apply accounting regulations to ensure compliance. • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments effectively.
