We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a diverse workforce while providing exceptional employee support. This position is an excellent opportunity to apply your payroll expertise in the non-profit sector.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process bi-weekly payroll for a workforce of approximately 400 employees, including hourly, salaried, exempt, and union staff across five unions.<br>• Review and verify timecards for accuracy, addressing discrepancies for around 30 employees when necessary.<br>• Create, analyze, and modify payroll reports using the organization's reporting systems, ensuring precision and adaptability for various projects.<br>• Manage daily payroll tasks while adjusting workflows based on volume fluctuations.<br>• Provide assistance with planning and coordinating logistics for company events as required.

• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including handling union-specific complexities.<br>• Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP Workforce Now, UKG Pro, and UKG Ready.<br>• Solid understanding of multi-state payroll regulations and garnishment processing.<br>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and custom report generation.<br>• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to effectively support employee inquiries.<br>• Familiarity with HRIS payroll systems and timecard management processes.
