We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. As a Contract-to-permanent role, this position provides the potential for long-term career growth and development.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and manage accurate corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.<br>• Handle sales tax reporting and filings, maintaining adherence to local and state requirements.<br>• Create and post journal entries to maintain the accuracy of financial records.<br>• Reconcile general ledger accounts and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.<br>• Utilize Sage software to manage accounting tasks and generate financial reports.<br>• Develop and implement Excel formulas for efficient data analysis and reporting.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper financial documentation and reporting standards.<br>• Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes.<br>• Maintain a thorough understanding of healthcare financial operations and regulations.<br>• Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.

<p>• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.</p><p>• Minimum of three years of experience in accounting within the healthcare industry, demonstrating attention to detail.</p><p>• Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.</p><p>• Advanced proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Sage software preferred.</p><p>• Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.</p><p>• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities.</p><p>• Strong verbal and written communication skills.</p><p>• Master’s degree in Business or Health Administration is a plus.</p><p><br></p><p>Send your resume to brenda.arce@roberthalf</p>
