<p>Join our team as a Systems Administrator, in the Houston area! This role, under limited supervision, involves analyzing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing system servers and application components to meet company performance goals and ensure user satisfaction. You’ll handle tasks such as server installation, evaluation, configuration, upgrading, hardware maintenance, and more. Additionally, you’ll play a critical role in troubleshooting issues, recommending solutions, and implementing improvements that align with our organizational values and operational needs.</p><p>This position requires collaboration with IT management on planning, procurement, and implementation tasks, while also working closely with the support team to address escalated issues.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><em>Key Responsibilities:</em></strong></p><ul><li>Ensure continuity, security, and operational efficiency of the server operating environment.</li><li>Perform hardware/software installations, upgrades, and maintenance, including availability after regular business hours.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve server hardware/software issues.</li><li>Provision and modify user accounts.</li><li>Conduct regular backup and recovery tasks.</li><li>Participate in change control processes.</li><li>Assist in developing and testing the IT disaster recovery plan.</li><li>Respond to position-related emergencies outside regular hours.</li><li>Manage and coordinate outside vendors/technicians.</li><li>Other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong><em>Qualifications & Experience:</em></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study; an equivalent combination of relevant work experience/education may be considered.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> At least 5 years of experience in administration and support within an enterprise environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016 and above), Active Directory, File/Print services, and Group Policy.</li><li>Proficiency in Active Directory user provisioning and management.</li><li>Familiarity with system/network logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.</li><li>General understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, IPsec, NFS, SMB, iSCSI).</li><li>Knowledge of system configuration management, patching, auditing, and storage solutions (file, block, object).</li><li>Experience with backup systems (e.g., CommVault, Cohesity, Druva – preferred).</li><li>Understanding of virtualization solutions like VMware and Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online administration and security.</li><li>Strong customer service and teamwork abilities.</li></ul><p><br></p>
