We're currently looking for a skilled Firewall Administrator to help manage, maintain, and optimize our firewall infrastructure and ensure robust perimeter defense across our network environments. The Firewall Administrator will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and monitoring enterprise firewalls to ensure optimal security and performance. This role requires a solid understanding of network security principles, firewall rule management, threat mitigation, and compliance standards. You'll work closely with the cybersecurity, networking, and compliance teams to ensure our security posture is strong and adaptable. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage, configure, and monitor firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point)</li><li>Create and audit firewall rules and access control lists (ACLs) to support business needs while maintaining strong security posture</li><li>Perform regular reviews of firewall configurations and security policies for compliance and optimization</li><li>Respond to security incidents involving firewall or perimeter security issues</li><li>Collaborate with SOC and IT teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities</li><li>Conduct regular system updates, patching, and version control on firewall appliances</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation of firewall rule sets, changes, and network diagrams</li><li>Participate in on-call support and incident response rotation as needed</li><li>Assist with network segmentation, VPN configurations, and DMZ management</li><li>Stay current on firewall technologies, threat trends, and best practices</li></ul>

Required:<ul><li>Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)</li><li>3–5+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise-class firewalls</li><li>Solid understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, NAT, routing, and VPNs</li><li>Experience with at least one major firewall platform (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point, etc.)</li><li>Familiarity with change management, ITIL practices, and ticketing systems</li><li>Working knowledge of IDS/IPS systems and network security monitoring tools</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Firewall certifications (e.g., PCNSE, NSE 4, CCNP Security, CCSA)</li><li>Experience with cloud firewall technologies (e.g., AWS Security Groups, Azure NSGs/ASGs)</li><li>Exposure to automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible)</li><li>Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST)</li></ul>
