<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a hands-on IT leader with deep technical expertise and proven leadership abilities to manage IT operations in a dynamic oil & gas environment. The ideal candidate brings a balanced approach to tactical execution and team mentoring, ensuring reliable IT systems across office locations and remote field environments. This role combines advanced knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and cloud technologies with a focus on supporting business outcomes and user satisfaction.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead IT operations teams, acting as a "player-coach" to mentor staff while delegating tasks effectively.</li><li>Oversee enterprise infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and disaster recovery systems.</li><li>Manage network operations such as LAN/WAN configurations, firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and field connectivity solutions.</li><li>Implement and maintain endpoint management systems (Intune/SCCM), ensuring automated patching, imaging, and inventory lifecycle management.</li><li>Drive cybersecurity initiatives, focusing on identity and access management, endpoint protection, incident response, and compliance controls.</li><li>Support oil & gas operations, including exploration, production, midstream processes, and SCADA systems related to field connectivity and rugged device solutions.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally to translate complex technical challenges into actionable business solutions.</li><li>Manage vendor relationships, budgeting, and process improvements while ensuring IT regulatory compliance (OSHA, SOX, GDPR).</li><li>Implement monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, PRTG, Azure Monitor) and ITSM solutions (ServiceNow, Jira) for effective incident tracking and resolution.</li><li>Ensure reliable delivery of business applications, including ERP systems, production tracking tools, and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Required Skills & Qualifications:</strong></p><p><strong>Core Technical Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Microsoft Azure: Experience with VMs, storage, networking, hybrid cloud configurations, and Azure AD Connect.</li><li>Microsoft 365: In-depth knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Azure AD integration.</li><li>Infrastructure: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware/Hyper-V, SAN/NAS, and disaster recovery solutions.</li><li>Networking: Expertise in LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, routers/switches, and VoIP technologies.</li><li>Endpoint Management: Proficiency in Intune/SCCM for device patching, imaging, and lifecycle management.</li><li>Cybersecurity: Advanced skills in identity and access management, endpoint protection, incident response, and regulatory compliance.</li></ul><p><strong>Leadership & Soft Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience as a team leader and mentor, with a collaborative "player-coach" approach.</li><li>Strong communicator able to explain technical issues in business terms.</li><li>Innovation-driven mindset to maintain reliable IT systems and improve user satisfaction.</li><li>Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to calmly manage crises.</li><li>Experience in vendor management, budgeting, and driving process improvement initiatives.</li></ul><p><strong>Industry & Domain Expertise:</strong></p><ul><li>Oil & Gas: Familiarity with exploration, production, and midstream operations.</li><li>Remote/Field IT: Knowledge of satellite/remote connectivity and rugged devices.</li><li>Regulatory Compliance: Awareness of regulations like OSHA, SOX, GDPR, and data privacy laws.</li></ul><p><br></p>
