<p><strong>Overview:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a highly skilled <strong>Senior Network Engineer</strong> with extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network infrastructures and solutions, in the Houston area. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with demonstrated technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Cisco technologies, cloud networking, SD-WAN, MPLS, and voice solutions, as well as network security protocols.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Design, deploy, and maintain advanced network systems including routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, and voice solutions.</li><li>Develop and manage Wide Area Network (WAN) environments using SD-WAN and MPLS connectivity solutions.</li><li>Configure and manage voice gateways and CUBE routers to support unified communications systems, including SIP integrations.</li><li>Deliver seamless cloud connectivity, with a focus on <strong>Azure ExpressRoute</strong> and similar technologies.</li><li>Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance to ensure maximum stability and uptime.</li><li>Implement robust high-availability solutions using HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP protocols.</li><li>Support wireless network infrastructures, ensuring adherence to 802.11 standards, using tools such as Ekahau for spectrum analysis.</li><li>Oversee security configurations for firewalls, VPNs (SSL and Site-to-Site), and IDS/IPS.</li><li>Provide expertise in advanced network protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP) and perform packet analysis using tools like Wireshark.</li><li>Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex network issues and serve as a point of escalation for technical teams.</li><li>Create, manage, and maintain thorough technical documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between network solutions and enterprise systems.</li><li>Mentor junior team members to foster professional development within the network team.</li><li>Assist customers and stakeholders by delivering solutions tailored to their needs and business objectives.</li><li>Participate in project management efforts, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and scope.</li><li>Be available for on-call escalation support, notably during maintenance windows or emergencies.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> Associate degree in IT or a related field; equivalent work experience is highly considered.</li><li><strong>Certifications:</strong> <strong>CCNP Certification (mandatory)</strong>; <strong>CCIE preferred</strong>.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong></li><li>8+ years of experience in network engineering, with proven expertise across a broad range of technology disciplines.</li><li>Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (<strong>FirePower, Catalyst, Meraki</strong>).</li><li>Expertise in SD-WAN, MPLS, and unified communications solutions (e.g., CUBE routers, SIP protocols).</li><li>Deep understanding of cloud networking systems, especially Azure integrations (e.g., ExpressRoute).</li><li>Advanced skills in routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP).</li><li>Proficiency with wireless standards such as <strong>802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax</strong> and tools like <strong>Ekahau</strong> for analytics.</li><li>Network security expertise including firewalls, VPNs, redundancy design, IDS/IPS, and traffic analysis.</li><li>Proficiency with monitoring and troubleshooting technologies like Wireshark and NetFlow analyzers.</li><li><strong>Skills:</strong></li><li>Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Exceptional project management and multitasking abilities.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on creating clear, concise documentation.</li><li>Customer-service orientation and the ability to work well with clients and end-users.</li><li>Willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.</li></ul><p><br></p>
