We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Hamtramck, Michigan. This role involves managing essential financial tasks and ensuring accurate accounting processes. The position requires collaboration with the finance team to support month-end and year-end audits, as well as other accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Reconcile bank statements and ensure alignment with internal accounts. • Post receipts and expenses promptly and accurately. • Generate and review financial statements to assess the organization's financial health. • Perform ledger reconciliations to ensure proper account management. • Assist in audits and facilitate month-end and year-end closing activities under the guidance of the Finance Manager. • Utilize accounting systems to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely transactions.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, such as ERP and Concur. • Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Solid understanding of auditing and financial statement preparation. • Familiarity with balance sheet account reconciliation. • Ability to work with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. • Strong skills in financial services and accounting functions. • Knowledge of ADP systems is preferred. • Capability to analyze and interpret financial data accurately.
