We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Property Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of property-level accounting, and supporting property managers and ownership with timely financial insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, a solid understanding of property operations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations (including cash, assets, and liabilities) and perform analytical reviews of operational information such as expense classification and budget adherence.</li><li>Post journal entries to ensure monthly financial statements are accurate and complete.</li><li>Provide timely and accurate financial information to property managers and ownership on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.</li><li>Assist with the preparation of annual and monthly budgets for assigned properties and related entities.</li><li>Compile and prepare annual financial information for external audit and tax preparers to ensure timely filing of all required returns.</li><li>Review expense and revenue classifications for each property to ensure accuracy and consistency.</li><li>Monitor cash balances to ensure the timely payment of all liabilities, including mortgages and other financial obligations.</li><li>Support financing and refinancing activities by preparing lender reporting and ensuring compliance with lender requirements.</li><li>Prepare replacement reserve draw requests and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.</li><li>Record and maintain fixed assets on a quarterly basis.</li><li>Review job cost invoices and postings for accuracy and alignment with project budgets.</li><li>Assist with special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned by management.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li>2+ years of accounting experience; property or real estate accounting preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.</li></ul>
