We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This role requires a meticulous individual with expertise in corporate tax processes and proficiency in QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organization's accounting operations. Responsibilities: • Prepare and file corporate tax returns in a timely and accurate manner. • Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with local and state regulations. • Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain up-to-date financial records. • Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and categorized. • Utilize QuickBooks Online for efficient and accurate financial management. • Conduct regular reviews of financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues. • Collaborate with team members to support audits and financial reporting requirements. • Assist in training and onboarding processes for accounting team members as needed. • Provide support in month-end and year-end closing activities. • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing corporate tax returns. • Proficiency in managing sales tax filings and compliance requirements. • Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance. • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online. • Familiarity with accounting principles and tax regulations. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
