Patient Care Coordinator
We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Encinitas, California. This role involves providing vital support to patients and ensuring smooth administrative operations within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Greet and check patients in and out while verifying insurance information and processing payments.<br>• Manage patient records by scanning, filing, and updating charts to ensure accurate documentation.<br>• Coordinate the scheduling of appointments, surgeries, procedures, and diagnostic tests while handling any changes efficiently.<br>• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain prior authorizations, and document account notes thoroughly.<br>• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff regarding patient concerns, scheduling needs, or required follow-ups.<br>• Facilitate pre-admission testing or medical clearances by reviewing patient histories and medication details.<br>• Handle clerical tasks such as sending and receiving medical records, obtaining reports, and completing necessary forms.<br>• Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception and waiting areas while restocking office supplies.<br>• Follow physician orders, organizational policies, and confidentiality standards to ensure compliance.<br>• Respond promptly to emergencies and report concerns to supervisors as needed.
<p>• Proven experience in patient scheduling and coordinating medical appointments.</p><p>• Familiarity with managing patient medical records and documentation processes.</p><p>• Strong ability to verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations.</p><p>• Excellent communication skills to assist patients and liaise with healthcare staff.</p><p>• Proficiency in handling clerical tasks such as sending medical records and completing forms.</p><p>• Ability to maintain accurate records and reconcile petty cash.</p><p>• Knowledge of healthcare procedures and patient confidentiality protocols.</p><p>• Bilingual Spanish Required.</p>
