Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role involves managing key accounting functions such as month-end processes, reconciliations, and supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong foundation in accounting principles, we encourage you to apply.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain the integrity of financial records.<br>• Perform month-end closing procedures and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.<br>• Manage general ledger activities, including reviewing account balances and correcting discrepancies.<br>• Provide support for accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and vendor communication.<br>• Assist in accounts receivable tasks, such as tracking payments and resolving outstanding balances.<br>• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.<br>• Analyze financial data to identify trends or issues and propose actionable solutions.<br>• Contribute to the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.<br>• Address inquiries related to financial transactions and provide clarification as needed.
• Proven experience in accounting, including journal entries and general ledger management.<br>• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.<br>• Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and account reconciliations.<br>• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.<br>• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.<br>• Knowledge of relevant accounting software and tools.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
