Accounting Assistant
<p>Robert Half is seeking a customer service oriented Accounting Assistant to join our client on a contract basis in Camas, Washington. This role involves supporting various financial operations, including accounts receivable, cash receipting, and customer service, while ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently within established procedures.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Perform clerical accounting tasks such as maintaining financial records, processing payments, and reconciling accounts.</p><p>• Post, assemble, and verify financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.</p><p>• Handle customer service inquiries related to utility bills, invoices, and other fees, providing clear and helpful assistance.</p><p>• Process payments for accounts including water, sewer, garbage, and recycling services, and issue delinquent notices as required.</p><p>• Maintain and balance cash drawers while ensuring proper documentation and security.</p><p>• Collaborate with vendors, employees, and other departments to address questions and resolve issues.</p><p>• Generate routine financial reports based on collected and summarized data.</p><p>• Set up and manage new accounts while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures during all financial operations.</p><p>• Support additional administrative tasks as needed within the accounting department.</p>
• Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, and general financial operations.<br>• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.<br>• Proficiency in handling cash receipting and balancing accounts.<br>• Familiarity with maintaining accurate financial records and preparing reports.<br>• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.<br>• Competence in organizing and verifying statistical and financial data.<br>• Experience in processing payments and issuing notices for delinquent accounts.<br>• Knowledge of utility billing processes is a plus.
