<p>Robert Half is searching for an <strong>IT Support Specialist</strong> with strong client-facing skills to provide hands-on technical support a client in Managed Services. This role is highly interactive, requiring someone who can balance technical troubleshooting with excellent customer service. The position focuses on Tier I and Tier II support, with Tier III escalations managed by system administrators.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Details: </strong></p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> 6 months contract to hire </p><p><strong>Schedule: </strong>Monday – Friday 8 to 5pm PST<strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Hybrid – remote primary (Main office is in Tacoma)</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide day-to-day end-user support for hardware, software, and applications</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows and Mac desktop environments</li><li>Support Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including user administration, access management, and application support</li><li>Assist with basic to intermediate networking tasks, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, DHCP/DNS, and routing</li><li>Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments</li><li>Support mobile devices through Intune or similar MDM solutions</li><li>Write and execute basic PowerShell scripts for automation and administrative tasks</li><li>Document issues, solutions, and best practices within ticketing systems (experience with ConnectWise a plus)</li><li>Collaborate with Tier III system administrators on escalated issues</li><li>Provide excellent customer service in a client-facing role, ensuring timely and clear communication</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>2+ years of Tier I/II IT support experience in a professional environment</li><li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, AD/Azure AD/Entra ID)</li><li>Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration</li><li>Familiarity with Windows Server environments and desktop OS support (Windows and Mac)</li><li>Understanding of networking fundamentals: VPNs, NAT, routing, DHCP/DNS</li><li>Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V</li><li>Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for basic automation tasks</li><li>Experience with ticketing systems (ConnectWise or similar)</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience supporting mobile device management (Intune or equivalent)</li><li>Exposure to OAuth and modern authentication methods</li></ul>
