Attorney/Lawyer
We are looking for a skilled Attorney/Lawyer with a strong background in civil litigation to join our team in Quincy, Massachusetts. This is a contract position, and the successful candidate will bring at least five years of experience in handling complex litigation cases, including motion practice, case strategy development, and client counseling. The role will require exceptional writing abilities, organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Draft legal documents such as agreements, pleadings, contracts, complaints, discovery requests, and court briefs.<br>• Collaborate with team members to prepare case documentation at various stages of litigation.<br>• Conduct in-depth legal research on statutes, case law, judicial opinions, and regulations to support case strategies.<br>• Ensure all legal documents and arguments are properly cited and adhere to statutory requirements.<br>• Maintain accurate and organized case files, notes, and reports for effective case management.<br>• Negotiate case resolutions that align with the goals of the firm and clients.<br>• Communicate effectively with clients to provide counsel and updates on case progress.<br>• Handle court filings, retrieve dockets, and liaise with law clerks and opposing counsel.<br>• Monitor and adhere to litigation deadlines to ensure timely case progression.
• A minimum of five years of experience in civil litigation, including motion practice and case strategy development.<br>• Active attorney license and eligibility to practice law.<br>• Proficiency in drafting legal motions, complaints, agreements, and briefs.<br>• Strong knowledge of civil procedure rules and litigation processes.<br>• Exceptional legal writing and research skills with attention to detail.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet critical deadlines.<br>• Experience in court filings, docket retrieval, and communication with law clerks.<br>• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for effective client and team collaboration.
