Customer Service Representative
<p>Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service and ready to take the next step in your career with a reputable financial institution? We are partnering with a leading bank in Pittsfield, MA, to find a dedicated Customer Service Representative for a contract-to-permanent opportunity.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the first point of contact by responding promptly and professionally to inbound calls from both internal and external customers.</li><li>Answer questions on a wide range of banking topics including bill payment, online banking, deposit and loan rates, products, and services.</li><li>Address issues related to Online Banking, ATM/Debit Cards, perform PIN resets, assist with e-Statement and check order requests.</li><li>Gather customer information and file electronic funds transfer (EFT) complaints in accordance with compliance procedures.</li><li>Diligently resolve customer issues, provide ongoing support, and escalate difficult cases to the appropriate party.</li><li>Prepare clear, professional customer correspondence as needed.</li><li>Complete customer account documentation, ensuring compliance with all bank policies and procedures.</li><li>Stay current with all products, services, laws, regulations, and internal procedures.</li><li>Support and participate in bank initiatives and sales campaigns, identifying and cross-selling appropriate services.</li><li>Assist and mentor new team members as needed.</li><li>Operate with the highest ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all applicable banking laws and regulations.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Must Have/Top Requirements:</strong></p><ol><li>Experience handling high-volume inbound calls in a customer service or call center environment.</li><li>Ability to confidently address and resolve a broad range of questions relating to banking—including bill payments and online/mobile banking.</li><li>Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a customer-first approach.</li></ol><p><strong>Who We’re Looking For:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous customer service experience (financial services/banking preferred).</li><li>Comfort navigating online systems and CRM tools.</li><li>Digital fluency and adaptability to new software or process changes.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, compliance focus, and sense of ownership.</li><li>Team player willing to support business line referrals and cross-sell opportunities.</li></ul><p><br></p>
