Accountant
We are looking for a skilled Accountant with experience in the hotel and hospitality industry to join our team on a contract basis in Palm Springs, California. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing financial operations, including profit and loss statements, reconciliations, and payroll oversight. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of a vibrant hotel environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and analyze hotel profit and loss statements to ensure accurate financial reporting.<br>• Conduct month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.<br>• Support forecasting and budgeting efforts to help guide financial decision-making.<br>• Perform balance sheet reconciliations to verify accuracy and compliance.<br>• Manage cash flow operations, including bank reconciliations and cash management.<br>• Oversee payroll processing and accounts payable functions within a hotel setting.<br>• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection and accurate record-keeping.<br>• Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and support operational goals.<br>• Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.<br>• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger operations.<br>• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations.<br>• Experience with forecasting and budgeting processes.<br>• Familiarity with payroll and cash management procedures in a hotel environment.<br>• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with teams.<br>• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
