Sr. Cost Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our client's team in Newberg, Oregon. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in overseeing cost accounting processes, particularly within a manufacturing environment. This role requires someone with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of standard cost accounting practices.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Analyze and manage the cost accounting framework to ensure accurate reporting and financial insights.</p><p>• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting processes, including tracking and evaluating production costs.</p><p>• Develop and maintain standard cost accounting systems to improve operational efficiency.</p><p>• Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for optimization.</p><p>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate allocation of costs and resources.</p><p>• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management to support strategic decision-making.</p><p>• Monitor and adjust cost accounting systems as needed to align with business objectives.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.</p><p>• Provide guidance and training to team members on cost accounting methodologies and tools.</p>
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.<br>• Proficiency in manufacturing cost accounting, including standard cost systems.<br>• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.<br>• Solid understanding of cost analysis techniques and practices.<br>• Familiarity with cost allocation methods and financial reporting principles.<br>• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.<br>• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
