We are looking for a detail-oriented, non-profit Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Portland, Oregon. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in non-profit accounting and proficiency in Abila MIP software. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, audit preparation and various accounting functions within the organization. Responsibilities:• Prepare audit schedules and reporting and gather information for auditors, as needed. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.• Prepare and issue checks in a timely and organized manner.• Assist with month end close duties.• Handle ad hoc accounting projects as assigned to support organizational needs.• Utilize Abila MIP software to maintain and update financial systems.• Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and streamline accounting processes.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.• Support billing functions and accounts receivable processes, when necessary.

• Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.• Strong, proven experience in audit preparation in a non-profit organization.• Proficiency in Abila MIP software is required.• Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices.• Strong skills in account reconciliation and financial record management.• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
