We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in New York, New York. This position involves managing and analyzing data to support key projects, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and a detail-oriented approach to data handling.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Analyze freight invoices and transfer relevant data into Excel spreadsheets.<br>• Ensure proper coding of invoices to corresponding accounts while verifying amounts for accuracy.<br>• Conduct detailed reviews of inventory reports and other documentation to identify discrepancies.<br>• Collaborate with team members to provide accurate and actionable data insights.<br>• Perform data validation and ensure compliance with company procedures and standards.<br>• Generate comprehensive reports to support retail and operational decision-making.<br>• Organize and maintain data records to ensure accessibility and accuracy.<br>• Monitor freight costs and identify trends or anomalies within the data.<br>• Support ongoing projects by contributing to data analysis and reporting tasks.<br>• Utilize advanced Excel functions to streamline data processing and visualization.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis or a related field with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.<br>• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.<br>• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data.<br>• Experience coding invoices and ensuring proper account allocation.<br>• Familiarity with freight cost analysis and inventory reporting.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.<br>• Background in retail or similar industries is preferred.
