Accounts Payable Specialist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. This Contract-to-permanent position involves managing daily accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and supporting the team with audits and reporting tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle high-volume invoicing efficiently.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.<br>• Manage the accounts payable inbox, responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.<br>• Coordinate and execute wire transfers, maintaining accurate records of all transactions.<br>• Prepare and post inventory-related journal entries to support financial reporting.<br>• Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and reports.<br>• Ensure proper coding and approvals for invoices to maintain financial accuracy.<br>• Collaborate with team members to optimize accounts payable workflows and processes.<br>• Utilize Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, to analyze and report financial data.<br>• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records in SAP or other accounting systems.
• Proven experience in accounts payable, including high-volume processing.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and data analysis tools.<br>• Familiarity with SAP or similar accounting software is preferred.<br>• Strong understanding of invoice processing, coding, and approval workflows.<br>• Ability to prepare and post journal entries accurately.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Strong communication skills to manage vendor and internal team interactions.<br>• Experience supporting audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
