Accounting Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in managing client accounts, processing financial transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of commission-related activities. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process commission statements and post them accurately to client accounts.<br>• Manage incoming payments from carriers and ensure timely updates to account records.<br>• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure proper crediting of commissions.<br>• Oversee billing procedures, ensuring they are handled promptly and efficiently.<br>• Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.<br>• Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring compliance with company policies.<br>• Address discrepancies in financial records and resolve billing or payment issues.<br>• Maintain detailed and organized documentation for all financial transactions.<br>• Support the team in improving accounting processes and systems where necessary.
• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.<br>• Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation processes.<br>• Proficiency in general accounting practices and procedures.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external carriers.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software and tools, with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
