We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in managing client accounts, processing financial transactions, and ensuring the accuracy of commission-related activities. Responsibilities: • Process commission statements and post them accurately to client accounts. • Manage incoming payments from carriers and ensure timely updates to account records. • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure proper crediting of commissions. • Oversee billing procedures, ensuring they are handled promptly and efficiently. • Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. • Perform accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring compliance with company policies. • Address discrepancies in financial records and resolve billing or payment issues. • Maintain detailed and organized documentation for all financial transactions. • Support the team in improving accounting processes and systems where necessary.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable operations. • Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation processes. • Proficiency in general accounting practices and procedures. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external carriers. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools, with the ability to adapt quickly to new systems.
