The Assistant Fund Controller will work closely with the CFO, fund administrators, and investment teams to ensure the firm’s financial operations, reporting, and compliance processes are executed with precision.</p><p>The position is ideal for a CPA with a Big 4 foundation and hands-on experience in private equity or fund accounting who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial setting.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage and review deliverables prepared by third-party fund administrators.</li><li>Maintain general ledgers for internal funds; perform monthly closings and account reconciliations (bank, intercompany, investment, and partners’ capital).</li><li>Prepare financial statements and quarterly investor reporting packages in accordance with LP agreements.</li><li>Support quarterly valuations, annual audits, and tax processes, including K-1s and federal/state filings.</li><li>Ensure adherence to SEC compliance and fund-level reporting requirements.</li><li>Oversee partner capital calls, distributions, and related correspondence.</li><li>Partner with FP& A and investment teams on portfolio dashboards and performance metrics.</li><li>Contribute to strategic finance projects supporting both firm-level and portfolio company initiatives.</li></ul>

<ul><li>4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally a blend of public accounting and private fund work.</li><li>Background in <strong>private equity, venture capital, or fund administration</strong> (either in-house or via audit/tax engagements).</li><li><strong>Big 4 experience strongly preferred.</strong></li><li>Solid knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles; exposure to partnership taxation is a plus.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; <strong>CPA preferred.</strong></li><li>Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with fund accounting software.</li></ul><p><strong>Why This Role</strong></p><p>Join a <strong>respected, high-performing private equity firm</strong> where you’ll gain visibility to leadership, exposure to fund strategy and performance, and an opportunity to contribute to the financial success of innovative, market-leading companies.
