Payroll Specialist
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing payroll processes for a workforce of 800-1000 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in union payroll and full-cycle payroll processing.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process payroll for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution of payments.<br>• Manage union payroll functions, including adherence to union agreements and policies.<br>• Handle payroll tax filings and resolve any discrepancies or issues.<br>• Oversee the full payroll cycle, from data collection to final reporting.<br>• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.<br>• Address employee inquiries related to payroll and resolve concerns with a high level of attention to detail.<br>• Perform regular audits of payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary payroll data and support organizational goals.<br>• Utilize payroll software efficiently, ensuring data integrity and proper system use.
• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing for a large workforce.<br>• Strong knowledge of union payroll procedures and regulations.<br>• Familiarity with payroll tax laws and filing requirements.<br>• Proficiency in payroll software and systems.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.<br>• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll-related issues.<br>• Effective communication skills to interact with employees and other departments.
