We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join a client on a long-term contract basis in Kirkland, Washington. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to financial operations and process improvements. The position offers the opportunity to work on diverse accounting functions, including general ledger management, tax filings, and capital expenditure tracking. Responsibilities:• Manage comprehensive accounting tasks for the main operating entity and investment holding companies, including revenue and expense accruals, invoice reviews, and monthly general ledger closings.• Import, reconcile, and oversee externally-managed accounting data for real estate investments while leading automation initiatives to streamline processes.• Supervise accounting functions related to capital expenditures, maintaining fixed asset tracking systems, and performing account reconciliations.• Prepare and file various state and local tax returns, such as sales/use tax, personal property tax, and B& O tax.• Handle daily banking activities, including cash postings, bank reconciliations, compliance requirements, and account management.• Identify and implement improvements to internal controls and financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.• Provide backup support for accounts payable and payment processing when needed.• Collaborate with IT and finance teams to support system enhancements and automation efforts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; CPA or CPA candidate is preferred. • 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience with strong knowledge of GAAP principles. • Advanced proficiency in Excel and a proven ability to manage detailed financial data. • Strong organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work. • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently. • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and integrity. • Familiarity with Yardi accounting systems, fixed asset software, and PowerBI is an advantage. • Experience in the real estate or financial services industry is a plus.
