<p>We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting practices within our organization. Based in Marin County, California, this role requires a proactive leader who can manage financial reporting, streamline processes, and provide strategic insights to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, coupled with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.</p><p>• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture focused on precision, efficiency, and growth.</p><p>• Collaborate with external auditors and financial institutions to ensure smooth audit processes and maintain strong relationships.</p><p>• Design and implement improved accounting procedures and systems to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls.</p><p>• Manage cash flow and liquidity to support the organization’s financial stability and operational requirements.</p><p>• Monitor profitability benchmarks and contribution margins across departments, ensuring alignment with company goals.</p><p>• Partner with operations teams and category managers to provide actionable insights that drive promotional and assortment strategies.</p><p>• Develop and distribute performance reports to key stakeholders, highlighting trends and opportunities for strategic decision-making.</p><p>• Analyze pricing, cost structures, and margins to ensure targets are met and financial expectations are achieved.</p><p>• Present financial findings and strategic recommendations to the executive team in a clear and impactful manner.</p>

<p>• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.</p><p>• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles.</p><p>• At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership capacity.</p><p>• Expertise in financial modeling and data analysis, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.</p><p>• Familiarity with business intelligence tools and enterprise resource planning systems.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of pricing analysis, cost management, and product development processes.</p><p>• Proven ability to manage cash flow and implement effective internal controls.</p><p>• Experience in preparing for audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.</p><p>CPA or MBA strongly preferred</p><p><br></p>
