We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Houston (Clear Lake), Texas. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in managing payables and ensuring accurate invoice processing. Responsibilities:• Process and manage non-purchase order payables with a high level of accuracy.• Code and verify invoices to ensure proper account allocation.• Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs efficiently.• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies in payments.• Utilize NetSuite for invoice processing and account management, if applicable.• Maintain organized records of accounts payable activities for auditing purposes.• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.• Support the team during transitional periods by managing additional tasks as needed.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field. • Proficiency in coding invoices and managing account allocations. • Strong knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes and check runs. • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software is preferred. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Effective communication skills for vendor and team collaboration.
